- Name: Carlotta Giudicelli
- Age: 27
- Occupation: Prima Donna of the Paris Opera.
- Personality: Carlotta is very much so a true diva, including everything that comes along with it. She is self-obsessed, narcissistic, insecure, temperamental, argumentative, demanding, spoiled and unkind to others. Perhaps some of these traits are a result of years upon years of a demanding career and its expectations warping her mind?
- Describe the character's appearance: She has long brown locks to compliment her eyes. Her body, while slim, is fairly curvaceous. Her height is slightly above average, which is usually increased by the tall shoes she demands to wear onstage.
- Character's personal history: Carlotta was born and raised in Venice to a wealthy family who, once she was old enough, began her musical instruction. She was taught to play the violin, piano, guitar, and to sing. As time went by she developed as a singer and eventually began performing in the civic opera. As her talent and fame began to grow around her she began accepting engagements throughout Europe. After a considerable amount of time touring the continent, she decided to plan an extended stay in Paris. The composers in Paris at the time were bringing forth an exceptional amount of music and that appealed to her, not to mention the considerable sum of money the Paris Opera offered her.

"Ma, non voglio! E stupido! Voi non saprete nulla!" Carlotta shouted at the conductor as she slammed her score shut and quickly paced towards the door. The large, ostentatious folds of her dress made a large rustling noise as she walked past the piano. Her intended path was out of the rehearsal room and into the office of the opera's manager. She was entirely fed up with the conductor and his, in her opinion, uneducated suggestions for her arias. Perhaps the manager would remind the conductor that she, indeed, would have her own artistic license and not have to follow his infantile orders.
“Ma! Aspettate! Please, Carlotta, you’re being unreasonable!” Said the conductor as he chased after her down the hallway. "Perhaps we might be able to compromise something. I know you are a great artist, but perhaps you could at least try the cadenza I have composed? Please?" He called in vain. The clicking of her shoes only beat a faster rhythm as a result. "Please!" He called out once more before she made an abrupt stop, turning to face him with the fire of a thousand suns in her eyes. In the process of turning about she nearly caused a stagehand carrying a prop to drop the item over the railing of the gallery backstage. "I will go and speak to Monsieur Firmin and he will settle this!" However, just as she was about to turn, the conductor began again. "Carlotta! Wait one moment. Perhaps in exchange for your agreeing to my cadenza I might be able to include your aria that was cut from the first act. Would that suit you better?" Carlotta's rage clearly had calmed by the cool expression on her face and the sudden decrease in violent energy. After a long silence, she smiled shyly. "Va bene. Andiamo." She brushed past the conductor quickly, heading back towards the rehersal room, content with her conquest from the battle.
